Turkey Day 2008 in Franklin!!

Thanksgiving 2008....what a day. Byron had his first night back to work since his ankle surgery and said that it was a long night and he was tired so off to bed he went when he came in at 7am. I had a rough start to the morning because Sarah had been coughing all night and I was up doing treatments and giving cough medicine. But it was a Thanksgiving miracle that she was much better in the morning and it was a good thing because we were signed up for the 5K Turkey Trot at the YMCA in Franklin. Off we went to Franklin to meet up with Beff and Tom because Tom was walking with us in the Trot. Here we are before the big walk.

Tom and Sarah had on matching hats, thanks to Tom!!

Here we are after the Trot...wearing our matching t-shirts. Sarah's is more like a dress but she can wear it for years to come! I don't look too tired for having carried Sarah on my shoulders for a lot of the walk. She had a melt-down at the end so we had to ditch off the course and walk home. We still had a good time!

Sarah once again took over the camera and took several pics. She could be a photographer one day! Here is her self-portrait.

After watching the Marching Royal Dukes in the Macy's parade, we got cleaned up and went out to eat for a great Thanksgiving lunch. The coat that Sarah is wearing is one that Mom saved from when I wore it as a child. Love the nostalgia.

Here is Sarah with Beff and Tom.

Lastly another picture from Sarah. You can see that Mom and I are giving her directions instead of smiling like she told us to!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends.
Thanks for looking!
Logan :)
