Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA/Tae Kwon Do Demonstration!

We had fun today at the Healthy Kids Day at our local YMCA. Sarah was in a Tae Kwon Do demonstration so that was fun also. It was a hot day but we leared that excercise is fun, how to make a healthy snack, that you have to get low in case of a fire and to crawl to safety, and that a bounce house is alot of fun!! Sarah did great and was able to break her first board with an axe kick. She was very proud of herself and I was proud of her too!!!

Circus! Circus! Circus!

We went to the Ringling Bros Circus and had a great time. Before the show started we went under the Scope and saw the animals up close. Horses, Zebras, Tigers and of course, Elephants. Beff went with us and we all had a great time. Thanks so much to Beff for going with us. The circus ususally comes to Norfolk in February so it was fun to go on a day with beautiful, warm, weather. Here are the pics.

We were able to get really close to the elephants! I was worried that one might go one a rampage...but luckily all they did was eat their alfalfa hay!

Clearly this zebra has a problem with me. We were in a staring contest.

This elephant is named Sarah and she is 57 years old. I told Sarah that this is who we named her after.

Easter 2009

We had a great time over Easter weekend. Three egg hunts, one bunny visit, and a sleepover with BeffTom were the highlights!
